UPDATE: central la politics is working on posting the committee video for hb1094. it will probably be live early friday morning.
according to the gannett/town talk (see link) rep. dixon has withdrawn his controversial bill which would create a tax increment financing district in downtown alexandria, la.
the bill was scheduled to be heard today by the house committee on municipal, parochial and cultural affairs.
the town talk says that "by deferring the bill himself, dixon can bring it up later in the session, which ends june 23."
we assume that if there is any, central la politics blog will have the committee video up later this evening or tonight.
