mayor roy: alexandria police department citizens commission seats open to residents of rapides parish

according to the gannett/town talk, city of alexandria, la. mayor jacques roy, yesterday announced the formation of a citizens commission to help implement reforms within the alexandria police department. alexandria seeking residents to serve on police advisory panel

mayor roy says that the commission will consist of over fifteen members and residents of rapides parish interested in serving should email a "mock resumé" to mayoral assistant ken juneau at moed@cityofalex.com or by postal mail addressed to him at: city of alexandria la p o box 71 alexandria la 71309.

we think that this is a great idea of the mayors' -- we hope though that this commission doesnt consist mostly of the same old losers who sit on so many of the other boards and commissions.

to that end, we challenge mayor roy to place the names of all his commission seat submitters into a hopper and for the city council,
live on channel 4, to randomly draw out the names of his twenty or so commission members.
