russell honoré on hurricane katrina and politics

gen. honoré says that he is not running for senate next year although he doesnt rule out the possibility of a future attempt at politics. "they're are things that i dream about -- but they will remain to be dreams, until i get my family moved and we figure out what we gonna do the next few years."

he says that the reason that new orleans has such a high murder rate is because of the flow of drugs through it. nola needs to be "sealed - off" to include restationing louisiana national guard there;

one good point that the general does make about help being in short supply, is when he complains about the louisiana national guard getting ready to go back to iraq in january (2010).
