on 07 june 2008 we were watching c-span television and they were televising a speech to the future of freedom foundation by congressman ron paul. within the speech congressman paul recounts how speaker of the house nancy pelosi, acting under orders of israel and aipac, pulled a section of a bill which would have required congressional approval before the president could go to war with iran.

the next day we went to the c-span website and recorded the :58 seconds clip of that portion of congressman paul's speech and posted it to youtube. you can watch congressman paul's entire speech on c-spanarchives.org here.

within a few hours michael rivero somehow picked up the youtube clip and posted a link to it from his high traffic website www.whatreallyhappened.com

since then and thanks to mr. rivero, this short clip has been viewed 26,390 times, embedded in many, many blogs and websites and has earned several youtube video honors.

today, we learned that newsmax.com without mentioning this video or the existence of it, (which is fine) but quoting directly from it, has posted a news story about the content of the video (see link).

anyway, the point of this post isnt to blow our own horn so to speak or draw attention to ourselves but to show how it's possible even with an old obsolete computer to make a difference in the world -- so if you're thinking about blogging then please do so. you dont have to post about politics. post about whatever you like. you never know what might happen...

Legendary author of scores of books and pamphlets demolishing the lies of warmaking mainstream media, historian Eustace Mullins died Tuesday, Feb. 2, at the home of his caretaker in a small town in Texas.

The passengers were working for two different companies, Dynamic Industries ("Dynamic") and MMR Offshore Services ("MMR").

The surviving passenger is Steven Yeltin, 28, of Floresville, TX. He is listed in critical condition. He works for Dynamic.

LAWRENCE, Mass. — At the Essex Towers senior public housing, voters are being allowed to vote despite the poll warden not showing up.

According to a poll watcher for Republican candidate Scott Brown, a Lawrence Police Department officer unlocked the ballot box.

This was observed by Americans for Limited Government, and Brown and Martha Coakley poll watchers.

The poll warden had taken a child to school, according to one observer.

The police later opened a polling machine for a handicapped man.

There was still no evidence of a poll warden one hour after the polls opened.

***DEVELOPING ... 14 october 2011 ... earlier this afternoon we spoke by telephone to randy bain, news director at ktbs.

we explained to him how roy brown and the report of his receiving 15 years in jail for stealing $100.00 has resonated across the internet.

that it has drawn in interest from the start and how we receive huge roy brown traffic spikes from time to time when his story is mentioned in the blogosphere or media somewhere in the world.

you probably know what we mean.

we explained that there was never any verifiable followup on this story which is inexplicable and suspicious to the global internet audience because everyone can see it was well covered online. 'so why wasnt it on every tv station?' some quip.

and that not surprisingly over time this lack of further mention, well ... its made a lot of people in the internet suspect that the roy brown story is just another internet hoax.

for example, recently commentators on the escapist: forums, without anything more to go on are pretty reasonable in their skepticism see Homeless man turns himself in for taking $100 dollars. Gets 15 Years.

A man who said he robbed a downtown Shreveport bank because he was out of a job and hungry has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for first-degree robbery.

Roy Brown, 54, of Audrey Lane, pleaded guilty in Caddo District Court to robbing the Capital One bank in December 2007.

Brown admitted walking up to a teller with one of his hands under his jacket and telling her it was a "stickup." The teller handed the man three stacks of bills and he took a single $100 bill, told her he was homeless and left, police said.

Brown surrendered to police the next day, telling them his mother didn't raise him that way.

Police let him sober up and interviewed him two days later. Police said Brown told them he needed money to stay in a downtown detox center, had nowhere to stay and was hungry -- so he walked up the street and robbed the bank.

it couldnt hurt to contact them, explain the situation and request a more formal follow-up report.
