More than 500 marijuana plants seized in Concordia Parish
Louisiana State Police narcotics agents have seized more than 500 marijuana plants growing along the Black River near the Mayna community of Concordia Parish, police reported.
While narcotics agents conducted Marijuana Eradication Air Operations, with the support of the Louisiana State Police Air Support Unit, a plot of marijuana plants was discovered.
Once confirmed that the plants were indeed marijuana, seven more plots were discovered from the air within a one mile stretch of the river bank.
A total of 521 plants were seized, an estimated street value of over $781,500, State Police reported.
