12:25 pm cdt - nick mikulas: 'the heaviest of the heavy' of humberto is now entering central louisiana....right now winds at kalb are gusting around 20 mph...wind gusts of up to 50 mph wont be unusual...humberto is on an east-northeasterly track...three inches of rain and around three more hours of heavy rainfall forecast...humberto will pass over the "heart" of central louisiana/alexandria...

kalb weather blog / nick mikulas: ...Our effects in Cenla will largely be flooding rains on the order of 5-10 inches with isolated totals up to 15 inches, but gusty winds are now a threat as well. The highest threat for gusty wind will be southwest of an Anacoco to Oakdale line, where gusts to 60 mph will be possible later this morning. Here in Alexandria we should see sustained winds on the order of 30-35 mph with gusts to 50 mph possible...
