alexandrians charged with passing counterfeit bills to pineville's la hwy 28 east mcdonald's

On April 23, 2011 the Pineville Police Department received a report of counterfeit money being obtained by McDonald’s on Louisiana 28 East.

Upon initial investigation of the officers it was discovered that several counterfeit bills had been passed at McDonald’s during the course of normal business.

Through further investigation the Pineville Police Department obtained information of two suspects involved in the counterfeiting.

After obtaining a search warrant of 401 Brown Bend Road Lot # 2 in Alexandria several items related to the counterfeit money passed at McDonald’s was found at the residence.

Arrested were Robert Dauzart, 37 YOA, and Stacy Dauzart, 30 YOA, both of 401 Browns Bend Road Lot # 2 in Alexandria. They were charged each with 11 counts of Monetary Instrument Abuse and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center awaiting bond.

Also arrested in relation to the passing of the bills at McDonald’s was Maranda Tharp, 26 YOA, of 627 Edgewood Drive in Pineville. She was charged with one count of monetary instrument abuse.

The dominations of bills that were counterfeited were $5, $10 and $20 bills. If anyone thinks that they have obtained any of these suspected bills please contact your local police department.
