local blogger lamar white, jr., tweets that he has resigned his position as a mayoral assistant to the alexandria, louisiana mayor and is moving to texas to attend the law school at southern methodist university.

while we've certainly had our differences about politics and policy, no one can deny that mr. white is a very gifted and talented writer and we've always admired him for that.

so we will miss him and wish him luck but at the same time suspect that we've not heard the last of him.
