an 8" noose makes loony loozianians panic

UPDATE: 22 january 2009 louisiana state police release a photograph of the terrifying eight inch noose

=====

look how pathetic these so called leaders are. someone leaves an 8" [20cm] noose
on someones work desk - eight inches - how is someone s'posed to be hung with an eight inch noose? and the state goes crazy. full panic and emergency mode. notice the media doesnt bother to find out and/or report if thats eight inches in overall length or an eight inch eye - all the repeaters know is that someone told them its a noose!

now check this out - the state director of the governor's office of homeland security & emergency prepardness, mark cooper, says that "my number one priority right now is the well-being of these two employees, who were subjected to and victimized by the most hideous crime...we will do whatever it takes to assist and support them and their families, in any way possible to deal with this gross violation of an individuals right to work in a safe and positive work environment" it's an eight inch noose and this clown is acting like employees were killed. pafreakingthetic.

next, they trot out col. mike edmonson, the superintendent of the louisiana state police. now hes done called in the the u.s. attorney, he wants to launch a full investigation with the fbi! lol. this guy, before he was promoted to state police superintendent, by that fraud piyush "bobby" jindal, was lsu football head coach, les miles' personal body guard. mmhmm.

the reason this state is in the shape that its in, is because its ran by a bunch of freaks and the state legislature, who passed this garbage bill, along with a lot of others, last year is nothing but an organized crime gang that are the actual criminals on the loose.

louisiana's goofy noose thought crimes law gets its first test

====
it seems that last week a couple of guys were at work doing some "trash talking" before the georgia at lsu football game. why supposedly grown men were wasting their time trash talking over a silly football game when there are so many other serious problems facing our state and nation is testament to louisiana's bread and circuses culture.

the accused nooser, a mr. reggie parent age 48, who is white, was trash talking in favor of lsu and the noosee, one mr. reggie drummer who is black, was for georgia. mr. parent told mr. drummer that if georgia won the game, mr. parent would have a "surprise" for mr. drummer at work monday.

georgia won the game by a score of 52 - 38 and the rest as they say, is history.

anyway, in the 2008 regular louisiana legislative session, an ignorant, peon of a state representative named ricky hardy, introduced his house bill no. 726. this bill was supposed to be the organized crime gang that calls itself the louisiana legislature response to all of the noose (copy-cat) incidents that had sprung up in the wake of the so called jena 6 noose incident.

but just what has representative hardy and his fellow cretins, boobs, idiots, morons, nutters, freaks, perverts and criminals that is the louisiana legislature accomplished by passing into law his hb726 now act 643? and dont forget that hb 726 was promptly signed into law by that republican fraud and scam piyush "bobby" jindal.

well if you're mr. reggie parent or a member of his family or friend or just someone who happens to learn about this case it could make you come to dislike or perhaps even hate black people. its quite likely that this law has actually placed black people even more into harms way by way of potential crimes of retribution.

by the same token it also could make some black people hate and/or strike back at white people.

and thats just exactly what laws like this are designed by legislators to do. god forbid that black people and white people ever come together and realize how both races are being screwed and used by politicians. thats the last thing that the politicians want -- so they create laws like la. r.s. 14:40.5 to stir up anger and enmity between the races so that blacks and whites will be too busy fighting each other instead of getting a clue and directing their anger towards the criminals in baton rouge - and other places.

not a single louisiana state representative has an ounce of integrity as seen by the house final passage vote. same with the state senate - seven representatives ran and hid when the vote came up and senator kostelka, himself a bumbling, mumbling enemy of state ethics law, was probably trying to find the senate chamber when the vote took place there.

reggie drummer

la r.s. 14:40.5 says in part "It shall be unlawful for any person, with the intent to intimidate any person or group of persons, to etch, paint, draw, or otherwise place or display a hangman's noose on the property of another, a highway, or other public place." emphasis ours.

according to an online legal dictionary: INTIMIDATE - means to intentionally say or do something which would cause a person of ordinary sensibilities to be fearful of bodily harm. It is not necessary to prove that the victim was actually frightened, and neither is it necessary to prove that the behavior of the person was so violent that it was likely to cause terror, panic or hysteria. ~ source

what kind of crazy legal definition is this that the cretins in the louisiana legislator used to base a felony law on, in which someone could be sentenced to prison for a year at hard labor and face a $5,000 fine?

mr. drummer told the wafb-tv reporter, tyana williams that "he [reggie parent] could have tied a half-hitch, a bowline knot you know, i mean you could have tied a double knot in your shoe you know, why tie a noose?" does this sound like the words of someone who is "fearful of bodily injury?" oh but wait -- "it is not necessary to prove that the victim was actually frightened."

mr. drummer passed up the opportunity to score a great moral victory by simply sitting mr. parent down and looking him in the eye and explaining to him why nooses are such an offensive symbol. its possible that mr. parent would have regretted what he allegedly did and apologized. they probably would have been friends again by lunch time.

instead, what does mr. drummer do? he gets on television and throws gas on the fire by stating "if it dont do no good, if it dont teach nobody a lesson you know, maybe the person who tied it, could learn something from it you know." thats not smart thinking!

piyush "bobby" jindal signs hb726 'noose hate and thought crime' bill into law

not that we care, but we cant help but wonder if our previous post violates this law.

anyway, hb726 now thanks to piyush "bobby" jindal, act no. 643 of the 2008 regular legislative session appears to be cut and pasted from parts of new york state so6499 a bill by long island, rethuglican dean g. skelos which was ultimately signed into law by governor paterson.

we found this interesting commentary written by a new york lawyer on 24 october 2007 about the new york law.
snip:

Compare and contrast this proposal to traditional hate crime laws: In the latter, the crime has happened, the intent is merely an escalator, a manifestation of the long-standing and totally innocuous premise that there can be reasonable bases for punishing a crime differently under different circumstances.

But with a noose law (or a swastika law or any comparable proscription), the crime has not happened — there has been no assault, no battery, no homicide, no destruction of property. There is merely expressive conduct. Revolting expressive conduct, no doubt, but expressive conduct nonetheless. Here is where the line is crossed. Here is where the government is now "punishing thought." And here, therefore, is where the First Amendment must stand athwart.

The law is unambiguous: offensive expressive conduct is fully protected under the First Amendment unless it creates a danger of "imminent lawlessness" (i.e., directly incites a crime). Brandenburg v. Ohio, 395 U.S. 444 (1969). Merely displaying a noose (or, more absurdly, drawing a noose) cannot, even under the most contrived fact pattern, foment imminent lawlessness.

Of course, a noose display can easily reflect another (bona fide) crime — such as trespass, vandalism or battery. Just as one does not need a flag desecration amendment to protect one's own flag — property laws accomplish that with no affront to the Constitution — one also does not need to criminalize noose displays to protect one's own property or bodily or emotional integrity. ~ read more
hb726/act643 is more evidence that the entire louisiana legislature (and the governor) cannot be trusted at all. as this bill and the house and senate voting records that support it show -- not one louisiana legislator has any integrity and honor whatsoever. not one legislator voted against bad legislation and these idiots have the audacity to think they deserve (much less pass) a pay raise? for what? they do not deserve to be paid anything. not one red cent. they do not deserve any respect either.

we still think that what is needed is a law that says that any time a bill or act is ultimately declared unconstitutional then that bills sponsor, coauthor(s) together with every legislator who voted for it should be automatically removed from office and whether they are still in office at the time its declared unconstitutional or not, be cast with the legal fees in litigating offensive, unconstitutional legislation.

Section 1. R.S. 14:40.5 is hereby enacted to read as follows:

hb36 rep. charmaine marchand gets in the pandering biz & wants to outlaw nooses

although we like rep. charmaine marchand we have to wonder what she was thinking or if she was thinking at all when she filed hb36 which "creates the crime of public display of a noose with the intent to intimidate," because we know rep. marchand knows better.

hb36 two page .pdf

sister girl aint playing either -- her bill calls for up to fifteen years imprisonment and a fine of up to $15,000.

luckily we have found a good use for a noose.
