local guy meets the dalai lama

here is an alexandrian named michael smith who is on a spiritual journey he recently posted from tibet. actually mr. smith writes on his blog:

Informal postings about my Fulbright research and study progress at the Vajravarahi Gompa in Chapagaon village, Nepal. Will also include beautiful and ugly photos of the kathmandu valley and wordy diatribes that seem to go nowhere.

mr. smith is a friend of another local blogger cenlamar who has posted about his friend in the past here here and also cenlamar's 10 under 30 feature; thats how we learned of smith's blog. his blog is newer looks like the first post is from 03 august 2006, has photographs and very interesting commentary to follow. check it out.
