according to the notice posted to the northside journal's website (see link) the weekly publication has been sold to a "a media group that required a confidentiality agreement as a condition of the sale."
the notice goes on to state that "An announcement from the new owner group is expected soon."
in our admittedly asinine opinion, the northside journal started out as potentially, a pretty good alternative news source and outlet. however, over the past year or so, it totally prostituted itself into nothing more than an unscrupulous propaganda organ for the city of pineville and especially republican party bull-shit. we wish the new owners well.
