----ORIGINAL POST----
this petition for damages arises from the 04 august 2011 automobile accident in which the defendant kim hall an employee of the rapides parish sheriff's office, rear-ended the plaintiff tonia sewell.

ms. hall was driving an rpso 2006 crown victoria westbound on monroe street when she "violently collided" into ms. sewell who was driving her 2010 chevrolet camero.

it's not clear to us within all the legal mumbo-jumbo and verbiage comprising the petition where it's plainly stated that ms. sewell was stopped. the petition does state that ms. hall "was on a mission," which causes us to wonder based on paragraph vi(a)4. "alternatively, failing to follow procedures for maintenance and service of the vehicle," if the sheriff office car didnt suffer some sort of mechanical malfunction.

another interesting part of the petition is at interrogatory number 12: "have defendants conducted surveillance on tonia sewell any time following the accident? if so who performed the surveillance, what dates was the surveillance conducted, and what were the findings related to the surveillance?"

the suit is in the ninth judicial district court and is assigned to judge mary lauve doggett.
