royal alexander did a video blog almost a month ago. the one question that should have been asked by michele godard yet was glaringly absent: whats the status of the 27 september 2006 sexual harassment suit filed agaiinst you by elizabeth scott? is the case ongoing? has it been dismissed? or what? it would seem to us that if the suit had been thrown out that mr. alexander would have wanted to make sure that information got out. is this another case of media political collusion cover-up?

anyway, the video blog goes on for just over ten minutes and is remarkably unremarkable. what we found interesting is contained in the video blogs comments section.

right off the bat a commenter who gives her name as "katie norwood" but who's email address begins "katie alexander"
I don’t know where this guy came from but he is awesome.
then about two minutes later ms. norwood or alexander writes again:
I don’t know exactly where this guy came from but he is a breath of fresh air. He is sincere, charismatic, and obviously driven. Where can I contribute money?
Katie Norwood
then a little further down ms. norwood or alexander is busted by a commenter named "joe"
Hi,
Katie Norwood, does not know where this guy comes from but that is her sibling? Must have been a close knit family. Is her deception an inherited thing and runs in her family? Lot of strange things with this character. I certain would not vote for him.......
then a little further down we have moon griffon's brain and sinister sidekick ruth ulrich chime in - notice how she castigates the "politics of personal destruction that the pelosi democrats play" then in the sentences immediately prior to that, does the same thing herself: (hypocrite)
An independant committee in DC investigated it and found it to be baseless. FYI, the attorney that filed this frivalous suit has been disbarred and spent time in jail for aggravated reckless homicide. Don’t you think if there were any basis to these charges an attorney with a better reputation would have taken the case? This attempt to ruin Mr. Alexander’s reputation is just another example of the Politics of Personal Destruction that the Pelosi Democrats play.
ms. ulrich is correct in that michael hoare, ms. elizabeth scott's attorney was disbarred in 1998 see in re michael hoare v on 25 april 1993, mr. hoare got drunk and had a wreck in which a young man was killed. in march of 1996 mr. hoare was convicted of aggravated reckless homicide.
Hoare did not appeal. At sentencing, he read a statement of remorse. Facing a maximum of fourteen years in prison, Hoare was sentenced instead to six months in the St. Clair County jail in Belleville, Illinois, and was placed on probation for forty months. He was ordered to perform forty hours of community service during each month of his probation, half of which was required to involve the assistance of persons with alcohol problems. A civil suit filed against Hoare by the Roedersheimer family was later settled by his insurance carrier.
then immediately after mr. ulrich's comment her husband mark ulrich writing as "satchmo" says:
All,

I personally know Royal and have found him to have outstanding character, intellect; and, best of all, common sense. Even better, he is literate and can string a sentence together in an “off the cuff” TV interview far better than the Foti-clones populating some of this blog. And to think these bloggers even had time to consider, gather, and type in their thought (yes, thought; thoughts would be giving them too much credit).
of course neither ms. ulrich or her husband bother to inform you that she does the voice overs for royal alexander's campaign commercials. they dont tell you that mr. alexander advertises heavily on the moon griffon show either.

the sexual harassment lawsuit against mr. alexander aside, this crew isnt bright enough to pull off a scam in a video blog comments section. do you really think royal alexander et al are smart enough to take on and beat louisiana's multi generational crime families and crime gangs? we think not.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Hustler magazine is looking for some scandalous sex in Washington again -- and willing to pay for it.

"Have you had a sexual encounter with a current member of the United States Congress or a high-ranking government official?" read a full-page advertisement taken out by Larry Flynt's pornographic magazine in Sunday's Washington Post.

It offered $1 million for documented evidence of illicit intimate relations with a congressman, senator or other prominent officeholder. A toll-free number and e-mail address were provided.

The last time Flynt made such an offer was in October 1998 during the drive to impeach President Bill Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

In the following months, the pornographic publishing mogul threatened to expose one or two members of the Republican Congress pushing for the impeachment, according to media reports at the time.

That long-awaited expose, published months after Clinton's trial, dropped no bombshells, according to a 1999 Slate.com article, but Flynt's efforts played a role in the resignation of House-speaker designate Bob Livingston of Louisiana.

Flynt's target this time, if he has one, was not immediately known.

Alexander's top staffer named in lawsuit
Saturday, October 21, 2006
By Bruce Alpert

WASHINGTON -- A former staffer for Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-Quitman, has filed a sexual harassment lawsuit alleging inappropriate conduct by the congressman's chief of staff.

In a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, Elizabeth Scott, employed as a scheduler for Alexander in 2005 and 2006, alleges that Royal Alexander, who is not related to the congressman, engaged in "a course of misconduct" toward her. It included "inappropriate sex-based comments, ogling and touching," according to papers filed Sept. 27.

The congressman -- who this week testified before the House Ethics Committee on his efforts to help a teenage page who received what some described as over-friendly e-mails from former Rep. Mark Foley, R-Fla. -- disputed the allegations.

In a statement, Alexander spokesman Adam Terry said the office brought in an independent third party to review the sexual harassment allegations. That investigator found the allegations without merit, Terry said.

The timing of Scott's complaint, a day after she was demoted following a poor job-performance evaluation, is suspect, Terry said.

Scott's attorney, Michael Hoare, disputed the Alexander office statement alleging that she had not performed her job competently. Scott, he said, is seeking lost income and damages for emotional distress.

Her suit alleges that after she filed her complaint, working conditions became so intolerable that she "felt compelled to quit her job."

Scott, who is from Alabama, was a student at the University of New Orleans in August 2005 when Hurricane Katrina forced her to leave, Hoare said. She ended up in Washington, D.C., where she pursued and earned her master's degree in business online while working in Alexander's office.
