The state Board of Ethics on Thursday approved a settlement in which Jindal admits to failing to timely disclose financial support his campaign received from the state Republican Party. The $2,500
fine is the maximum allowed under state law for the campaign finance violation.
By negotiating a settlement, Jindal avoids a public hearing that had been set for July.
