according to this news report a trial date of 09 february 2010 has been set for winnfield taser cop scott nugent who was indicted on one count of malfeasance in office and one count of manslaughter in the tasering death of winnfield, la. resident baron d. pikes who was reportedly handcuffed at the time the repeated tasing was administered.

this news report doesnt mention whether or not wards 9, 10 and 11, pineville city court judge, jesse phillip terrell, jr., is still mr. nugent's defense attorney.
