rep billy montgomery rethinking stelly
====
the clowns over at ktbs-tv channel 3 did a story (see link) about how former democrat, now republican, louisiana state representative billy montgomery prefiled a bill -- and this is why we call them clowns because they didnt bother to tell exactly what bill number they were reporting about. ktbs as you can see even interviewed representative montgomery and we wonder if it was too much to ask for the reporter to have simply said "hey representative mongtomery whats that bill number we are talking about?" then posted it so the rest of us would know. like we are supposed to just take ktbs word for it?when the so called media doesnt bother to give the most important parts of a story, something that should be so obvious to be the integral part of a story -- that tells us that the so called media are serving as nothing more than the press and public relations whores for the candidates or for whoever they are reporting on...that, or else they are so incompetent that they shouldnt be in the "news" business to begin with.
more than likely what happened is that ol coach - thats what they call him because apparently he was a coach somewhere, phoned up the news director over at ktbs and told him that he needed some good press for some bill he had filed. so ktbs sends over their worst reporter knowing that the reporter because of incompetence, laziness or whatever, would just report whatever representative montgomery told them to report.
so anyway, you know us not to be outdone, we mosied on over to legis.state.la.us to take a look at the bills representative montgomery filed and thankfully he's only filed, so far, four bills.
"REPEAL the state sales and use tax exemption provided for in the constitution for food for home consumption and consumer purchases of natural gas, electricity, water, and prescription drugs."how unrepublican of him. this isnt what we want. we dont want any tax exemptions repealed...WTF?!?.
and as far as the income tax bit, well representative montgomery's bill says:
"Section 4.(A) Income Tax. Equal and uniform taxes may be levied on net incomes, and these taxes may be graduated according to the amount of net income."we dont want a graduated income tax. thats communism 101. this guy billy montgomery is no more of a republican than fidel castro and he needs to have his ass turned out of the state legislature. send him home where he can do the least amount of damage.

fake republican watch: billy montgomery
www.thedeadpelican.com
billy montgomery switches to the cyber-sex partythis morning chad over at the dp brings us even more news about how current la state representitive billy "coach" montgomery has switched from the democratic party to the republican party. now the reason our louisiana politicians pull such bull and get away with it is because people in this state are basically stupid. switching from democrat to republican doesnt magically make mr. montgomery (or anyone else for that matter) a better person or legislator in fact if he was a good person at all then he would be hanging in there fighting for and changing the democratic party into something that voters can be proud of instead. not ol "coach" though he takes what he sees as the easy way out "coach" will do whatever it takes to make it easier for him to stay in power, to get elected because, a majority of people that live in his district (who have already demonstrated their stupidity for voting for him in the first place) have allowed themselves into being deceived into believing that being a republican automatically makes one a better person.
anyway, enough of our drivel - c b forgotston says it so much better than we ever could in his short piece titled:
The problem with our current constitution is not the document itself, but the leges who constantly dodge their responsibility on politically-difficult issues. Instead of addressing the matters by statute, the leges buck the issues to the people in the form of constitutional amendments. That only serves to create the need for more constitutional amendments to correct the errors in the previous amendments.click here to read more.

another pro-tax fake republican sen mike michot sb245
La. State Senator Michael "Mike" Michot (R) Lafayette
here we go again with yet another bait and switch fake republican. as we have previously posted about senator julie quinn - republicans are supposed to stand for lower taxes and less government. why then is republican la state senator mike michot introducing SB245 which will "Authorize certain parishes to increase their sales tax by one percent.???"
what we would like to know is where is la republican party chairman roger villere at? why is he allowing louisiana's republican party to be hijacked by these bunch of fake republicans whose legislative filings as well as their votes are based on anything but the republican party platform and ideals?
a few months ago chairman villere issued a press release calling on governor blanco to resign if she wouldnt set orleans parish elections in a timely manner - well in that same spirit we call on roger villere to resign as louisiana republican party chairman and step aside in favor of someone who will actually control the republican party of louisiana and ensure only those who truly respect and espouse its platform are given party backing and in favor of someone who will stand up and say this and that bill is wrong and so is the legislator filing and/or voting for same.

la gop chairman roger villere: assclown
the dead pelican has a statement up (see link) from the louisiana republican party chairman roger villere. now this guy roger villere is the sorriest excuse for (1) a republican and (2) and most importantly: a republican party state chairman.where is roger the useless idiot at when his own republican legislators are authoring and voting for unrepublican legislation? hmmm? we would like to know. ...where are the "scathing" press releases , epithets and denunciations at when members of his own party wipe their arse's with the state republican party platform? this guy is a buffoon. the only demonstrable (non) talent that we can discern that villere has, is to seize on some obscure sentence in a speech and try to make political hay from it. roger villere is a disgrace to the republican party and its ideals and anyone who listens to him or takes him seriously is just as foolish.

dardenne ding-a-ling
we had already made up our minds a few days ago that we were not voting for this turkey for secretary of state - it was his vote in support of state senator and fellow fake republican julie quinn's sb 564 that we blogged about here that did it for us. dardenne's rather lame excuse for his vote yesterday against an abortion ban adds insult to injury:
Louisiana Political News Service:
Although abortion has been a controversial and divisive issue at the State Capitol in past years, the tone of Wednesday’s debate was calm and professional as the pro-life position has apparently gained great support over the past decade.
Only seven senators voted against the ban: Diana Bajoie, Jay Dardenne, Cleo Fields, Ken Hollis, Lydia Jackson, CD Jones and Ed Murray.
The target of immediate and intense criticism for his vote, Senator Jay Dardenne issued a statement at the end of the day claiming that he had accidentally pushed the wrong button on the voting machine on his desk. Pro-life leaders, who have fought Dardenne on a host of issues, ridiculed Dardenne’s claim, insisting that no veteran senator would make such a monumental mistake on a highly visible bill such as SB 33.
Adding to Dardenne’s credibility gap on the issue is his past support of a bill that allowed taxpayer funds to be used to finance abortions.
Republican leaders plan to meet with Dardenne to ask him to exit the race for Secretary of State and run for another statewide office at a later date so the senator can have time to recover some of the credibility he has lost overnight.
“The problem is simple: No one believes Jay Dardenne is telling the truth…that he pushed the red button instead of the green button by mistake,” one GOP leader insisted.

gov. blanco vetoes RINO mike michot's sb223
thanks to governor blanco for her veto of rino republican mike michot's sb223. this ridiculous bill would have increased automobile liability insurance rates and resulted in even more people driving around with out any insurance whatsoever.
louisiana's republican party is full of nothing but a bunch of fakes, frauds, liars, con-artists and scum-bags such as lafayette, louisiana's senator mike michot the bill's author.
republican's claim to stand for lower taxes and less governmental bureaucracy and regulation. perhaps rank and file republicans do stand for those things, however, the state republican party politicians and leadership under their incompetent, joke of a chairman: roger villere, certainly do not.

RINO watch: walter boasso
state senator walter boasso is reportedly about to announce his switch back to the democratic party. the thing is though is why did he switch to the republican party in the first place? according to links provided by the dead pelican to the sec'y of state's website senator boasso was registered as a democrat and actually ran for elective office as a democrat in 1991 and 1987. the only conclusion one can draw is that senator boasso switched to the republican party when he thought it would be good for him and now when he finds out what a lousy bunch of idiots run the republican party he wants to switch back.
we could take senator boasso a lot more seriously if he switched to independent.

more quinn family nonsense
yesterday, in "your mail" the town talk published a spam captioned: 'State needs Jindal's leadership.' by james quinn. (btw heres some real "jindal leadership" for you other than this jindal garbage mr. quinn would have us believe) one reason its spam is because at least as of the time of this posting the town talk left out the usual disclaimer that mr. quinn is executive director of the louisiana republican party. its spam because mr. quinn's mother louisiana state senator julie quinn has been outted in our fake republican watch series, its spam because the louisiana republican party chairman -- RINO -- roger villere is not doing his job according to the republican party platform, policy or ideals. its spam because the louisiana republican party is FUBAR and its spam because we shouldnt listen to these people they dont know what the hell they are doing...or do they? :-|
dont get the wrong idea, we've had it with both parties, we dont support a governor blanco reelection either.
instead we will vote third party candidates: the libertarian party, constitution party, INDEPENDENTS!...and you should too. ;-)

rodney alexander + knoe-tv & will moses= full of crap
www.thedeadpelican.comwe thought we were onto something good when we clicked over and read knoe's very deceptive story that is until we actually researched this bill which isnt even a bill its a house concurrent resolution but we are getting ahead of ourselves.
Alexander's bill would require oil companies to use at least a portion of their earnings to expand refining capacity. It's one of several moves Alexander believes would increase supply and bring down the price of gasoline.alexander's bill which isnt a bill does nothing of the same. its a worthless house concurrent resolution that merely expresses the "sense of congress" ('sense of congress' what an oxymoron) "...that american oil companies SHOULD (emphasis ours) reinvest their profits into building additional refining capacity..."
now you have to understand rodney alexander. for one thing he is a turncoat a backstabber and a deceiver. he was elected back in 2002 because he was a democrat then he switches parties to republican because mean ol nancy pelosi scared him LOL. what a clown. now alexander is back on the deception train aided by knoe-tv and "reporter" will moses.
which brings us to another thing - all you news hawks that stop by here would it kill you to put the bill numbers in your stories? or do you bother to research anything that you report on? it looks to us like you took some press release you received from alexander's office then didnt bother to check it before rushing out to file a story about it. it took us about two minutes to find this bill which isnt a bill but a concurrent resolution on the house.gov website. we might add that we dont have a staff or a bank of computers or any fact checkers - heck on this table we dont even have a pencil or a pad of paper, so whats your excuse???
Expressing the sense of Congress that American oil companies should build additional refining capacity on existing refinery campuses.
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
July 28, 2006
Mr. ALEXANDER submitted the following concurrent resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce
CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
Expressing the sense of Congress that American oil companies should build additional refining capacity on existing refinery campuses.
Whereas gasoline prices are currently on average over $3 per gallon in the United States;
Whereas there is a known shortage of refinery capacity in the United States and we are unable to process enough supply of gasoline to meet the Nation's demand;
Whereas the United States is forced to import approximately 1,000,000 barrels of crude oil each day;
Whereas crude oil prices are currently at $75 per barrel with no drop in that price in the foreseeable future;
Whereas the profits of American oil companies are reaching record highs;
Whereas a stable, steady oil supply and United States refining capacity is a national security issue; and
Whereas current refinery capacity is stretched to its limits: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That it is the sense of Congress that American oil companies should reinvest their profits into building additional refining capacity on existing refinery campuses so that the United States will become independent of foreign refineries and, in effect, help to reduce the current high price of gasoline.

what gives the teacher or principal the right to send out a letter "...outlining the consequences of failure to schedule or attend parent-teacher conferences and a demand for a response?" additionally this legislation makes the principal ".. sole judge of whether the failure to schedule or attend parent-teacher conferences is acceptable under the circumstances."

EDITORIAL: Revenge isn't sweet
House members should reject a bill that would water down the authority of the state treasurer over the State Bond Commission, thereby making it easier for lawmakers to push boondoggles and pet projects.
Senate Bill 14 would create an executive committee of the Bond Commission, consisting of the Senate president, House speaker and state treasurer. That panel would set the agenda for the commission, a power that the treasurer, as chairman, now enjoys. It would also allow a majority of the full commission to put items on the agenda via written requests.
Senate President Donald Hines, sponsor of the bill, has reason to be unhappy with Mr. Kennedy. The treasurer fought efforts to use state bonds to build a syrup mill in Sen. Hines' district -- a mill that would have benefited the senator's son-in-law, who is a sugar cane farmer.
Sen. Hines has insisted that this bill has nothing to do with the syrup mill and is simply a matter of good public policy. But no one should be fooled. This is a political maneuver, and Mr. Kennedy shouldn't be punished for defeating an ill-conceived project. Moreover, his hands shouldn't be tied so that he can't fight the next one.
There was talk of amending this bill to require a unanimous vote of the executive committee -- an effort to prevent the two legislative members of the executive committee from ganging up on the treasurer. But it would be far better to kill this measure than try to make it slightly less deplorable.
If the House doesn't have the good sense to reject it, Gov. Kathleen Blanco should veto it.

president barack obama's 'special olympics' remark brouhaha much ado about nothing
on saturday 30 march 2008, then democratic presidential nominee candidate, barack obama, along with senator robert casey went bowling during a campaign stop at the pleasant valley recreation center at altoona, pennsylvania.
obama bowled a 37. a perfect score is 300 and to put his score in perspective -- the bowlers who use this message board seem to agree that a respectable average is around 180. so you see his acumen for bowling really sucked.
at the time there was even speculation that this incident could hurt him politically as he might be seen as a sissy. joe scarborough said that "he bowls like my four-and-a-half-year-old daughter." see barack obama's bowling disaster and barack bowl.
on thursday 19 march 2009, president barack obama, made a nationwide television appearance from burbank, california via nbc; the tonight show with jay leno program.
president obama's appearance is some twenty-five minutes in length. as these things go, it was a great appearance as well; he should do these types of unique appearances often. his special olympics remark didnt even occur until around 21:50 -- long after he had discussed such important topics as aig, executive bonuses, the economy (stupid).
mr. leno made a great point about the congress setting a precedent with their "frightening" 90% tax.
this was all that made the news:
we meant to stay up to watch the presidents appearance in its entirety. looks like we fell asleep around 2:21 in. good thing we recorded it.
early friday morning when we looked at drudge we noticed that he was promoting obama's special olympics "wise crack." then soon it was "obama apologizes for calling bad bowling 'like the special olympics.'' we didnt have time or interest to read either story.
a little while later we got to listen to moon griffon for about 15 minutes and he was moonin' and coonin' over it...he said about his daughter maddie, that if she was ever in the olympics, that it would be the special olympics. so his feelings were hurt.
we're still waiting for mr. griffon's apology for all the lies he told in 2007 on behalf of piyush "bobby" jindal only to have us believe now that he was svengalied by (what was perceivable even then to anyone paying attention) the biggest nothing, the biggest liar, fraud, con-artist and freak that has ever been foisted on a willingly ignorant louisiana electorate.
something that mr. griffon could have easily avoided now, if only back then he would have simply questioned piyush and called him out to justify his conservative and republican bona fides in light of his very liberal, unrepublican and anti-american congressional voting record. so moon griffon needs to apologize for either being a liar and a shill who's angry at piyush now for being double-crossed or for being a complete dumbass, before he can legitimately criticize what anyone else, including barack obama, has to say.
the buzz about president obama's remark is all nonsense. what the president really was conveying was "hes [leno] is saying my bowling is like the special olympics or something." the president's hand gesture tells us that. his comment was his verbalization understanding of jay leno's expressions to be in keeping with those expressions familiar to him, being made by some who wish to imply that another is addled instead of clear-headed:
we've all done it. usually as a joke and no one means anything disparaging about the mentally or physically disabled. nearly everyone has someone physically or mentally disabled or both in their family.
at least the special olympics is getting plenty of publicity. they dont mind mining it either. see their statement and the official statement from their chairman, timothy shriver, both seem pretty retarded err special. the president doesnt look any better either. his apology gave that liar jonathan martin with politico.com the opportunity to drag up presumably to energize and enrage "the base" a 2008 quip he made about nancy reagan of which obama was correct in making light of ms. reagan.
america under the reagan presidency was ran by familiar spirits through astrologers and the only people that the spell seemed to work on then as well as now are the fake christians and others still today who proclaim ronald reagan a paragon of republican and conservative virtue when his memory should be tossed into the dust bin of history.
