in a heartbreaker, curlin, ridden by louisianan robby albarado, beats kentucky derby winner street sense (also ridden by a fellow louisianan: calvin borel) by a nose. there will be no triple crown of thoroughbred racing this year. the last triple crown winner (1978) was affirmed.
