The decision to continue the hearings until at least August was made after board members heard from attorneys representing Lawson and Brown.

According to the Ethics Board, the charges concern allegations that: Lawson leased office space to Brown while she had a contractual relationship with Lawson's agency and the Alexandria City Council; and that Lawson participated on the vote of a City Council resolution in which Brown had an economic interest. ~ read more
