mayor fields: yes sir
caller: at that time did you know of the incident that resulted in charges of child abuse against mr. bishop?
mayor fields: i, think we may have been aware that was a possibility.
caller: do you still endorse him [pineville city councilman joe bishop] for police jury?
mayor fields: yes sir i still do endorse him for the police jury, mister bishop, councilman bishop personal doings, you know, innocent until proven guilty or whatever, we stood behind him because of the work that we had with him on the city council.
