Published: Aug 6, 2007 - UPDATED: 11:15 a.m.Secretary of State Jay Dardenne is in Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center as a result of injuries from a motor vehicle accident this morning.“It was a pretty serious accident,” said Dardenne’s press secretary Jacques Berry.At the time of the incident, Berry said Dardenne was headed to his secretary of state’s office off Essen Lane from a breakfast meeting in downtown.Berry said he has been told that Dardenne’s vital signs were good. “We are supposed to be getting a report from the doctor very soon,” Berry said shortly before 11 a.m.
