former louisiana state senator allen bares passes

former state senator allen bares was the legislator, who in 1991, introduced a bill to ban most abortions in louisiana. all of the media hype surrounding his bill mostly due to the national organization for women, eventually led to his reelection defeat that year as well as the defeat of district 27 state representative carl gunter. see carl newton gunter, jr. from wikipedia.
