in seventy days the organized crime ring thats called the louisiana legislature is scheduled to convene.
==== ==== civic minded citizens may go to www.legis.state.la.us to view prefiled house and senate bills. there are a variety of ways to view bills. such as you can view all the filed bills or bills filed by a certain legislator or search by specific bill number.==== screen grab of some of the senate prefiled bills
====screen grab of some prefiled house bills
one bill that caught our eye is hb6 by representative kay katz (r) monroe. [district 16] representative katz for some unknown reason wants to reduce the voting hours. any reduction in the hours citizens may vote in, is only for the benefit of politicians and adverse to the best interests of the electorate. in fact hb6 appears to be a rerun of last years hb59 also by representative katz which didnt even make it out of the house and governmental affairs committee.
==== so you see how these politicians do. they have a bad bill that doesnt get anywhere so they just file it again the next year. we guess if this bill doesnt go anywhere this year representative katz will just file it again next year hoping that the law of averages will eventually catch up and the bill will pass.
