the other day we posted about a local disc jockey: ron roberts, who was fired over what he says was his comments about some local festivals one called "riverfest" and the other "que'in on the red." despite what some people think, the only purpose of our post was to ask whether or not it was true or not that because of his comments that the city of alexandria, la., had mr. roberts fired.
anyhooo, we began to receive a few googlers searching for mostly "ron roberts + kqid" and so forth. then earlier today we noticed a googler searching: "QUE-IN ON THE RED IN ALEXANDRIA, LA" you know us, ever curious so we decided to click on that url from our referral log and see what google had for that search string. up till that particular moment in time we didnt even know that quein on the red had its own website and we didnt care. to be honest we never go to any of alexandria's much ballyhooed festivals such as cenlabration, uncle sam jam, riverfest, quein on the red and so forth because quite frankly alexandria doesnt hold very good parties. over in grant parish, tiny colfax if you can believe it, does a much better job in that department every year with their pecan festival.
to make a short story longer, just for the hell of it we decided to find out who owned the queinonthered.com domain and thats when things got interesting:
domains by proxy, inc. is a unit of godaddy.com. godaddy.com, besides producing trashy super bowl advertisements, are a known host and facilitator of online pornography and especially online chat room pornography and porn spammers. of course we arent suggesting that whoever is behind queinonthered.com is into pornography we are just pointing out that godaddy.com and all its subsidiaries are nothing but pure sleaze because they allow pornographers to hide their names behind domains by proxy, inc.
its contact information lists a city of alexandria executive with a city of alexandria email address:
when you download an entry form from the quein on the red website it mentions the city of alexandria and gives a city of alexandria mailing address:
the city of alexandria, louisiana website information isnt a secret: (although maybe it should be lol)
so, quein on the red apparently receives city funding, it defiantly has city personnel handling among other things, its email and postal mail communications and yet the city or someone doesnt want it known who owns the website. why?
