Warrant issued for bank robbery suspect
Town Talk staff August 29, 2010
An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in the robbery of a Sabine State Bank Branch in Alexandria Tuesday.
Alexandria Police identified the suspect as Mark H. McCosker, 32.
He is approximately 6-foot-2 and heavily built.
His last known address is 5125 Samantha Drive in Ball.
Because a firearm was used in the robbery, the Alexandria Police Department warns, he should be considered armed.
The branch at 4409 Coliseum Blvd. was robbed at approximately 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to the police report, the suspect -- described as about 6 feet and weighing approximately 300 pounds -- came into the bank and asked for a meeting with the branch manager. Once in the manager's office, the man pulled out a gun and demanded money. The manager walked with him to the teller counter, where he threatened the workers with the pistol.
The tellers put money into a binder with a zipper before the suspect demanded they lie down and face away from the door. The suspect then fled the scene. ~ source
