Ike Nears Texas: ‘Now Is The Time For Prayers’
Only the godless media of a godless nation of godless people devoid of any knowledge of the changeless Eternal God could deliver such a conventionally self-serving statement, a statement typical of a nation having a form of godliness, but denying the power of the almighty, all knowing, and all-seeing God of the universe.
The Apostle Paul wrote of just such a time as exists in this nation today, a time when the people would be lovers of themselves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, uncontrollable, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, and lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. In view of the fact that fifty million innocent babies have been murdered intentionally with premeditation and in the most heinous ways I would add murderers to that list, which of course only highlights Paul’s offering of “being without natural affection”.
There does not exist a more apt description than this of the nature of the United States today, it is a nation that consists, collectively, of a people led away from God by divers lusts, it is an ever-learning acculturation of those who are never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. It is in fact a nation of people who resist the truth, an irreverent fellowship of men of corrupt mind and reprobate faith. We are a people who turn to a righteous God only when it is selfishly expedient or when it suits our egotistical purposes to do so. Such disdain and disregard for the God who gives us breath and who’s very Spirit and power animates us and sustains the beating of our hearts will certainly have its consequences and we are seeing such in this country at an ever accelerating pace.
The United States has crossed a great divide and is now on a dizzying slide downward through an ever-quickening succession of events, both of the cosmos and of manmade induction, which are stepping this nation toward a now inevitable time of a complete and climatic destruction. Prayers from an apostate people for deliverance from catastrophic events current and future will not be heard, in the parlance of the Bible it is a time for sackcloth and ashes.
AN UNPOPULAR MESSAGE
Those who believe that there is hope for a secular deliverance of this country from an increasingly inescapable terminal destiny at the hand of Almighty God or that the government or its leaders possess the answers to the nearly total social and spiritual unraveling of this commonwealth are barking up a wrong tree. Nowhere in the population of this nation or in the government or the institutions thereof exists a savior. Our Savior has come to this earth and gone and will return again, it is He that we should look to for deliverance. It is He who is the true Savior, and if the readers of this message have not accepted Him as such and taken advantage of His work upon the cross for the expiation of their sins past, present and future they most surely would do well to do so now. The fact is that any preacher, of honeyed words, who extols an innate goodness of man and salvation by any means other than through Jesus Christ, is a false messenger and is in service to the powers of darkness. God’s word says that none are righteous - no not one - and that the righteousness of man is as filthy rags in His sight.
My recent articles have been increasingly apocalyptic; I reject any thought that there is any hope that this country will be turned around by mortal men or by our terribly corrupt and fallible politicians. These, and those who extol their virtues, will do nothing other than hasten our fall. This has not been a popular message with some and several letters in response to my recent columns have been vitriolic and hate filled. I understand this, as the writers of these messages love the world either above God or in place of God.
I am grateful to those who carry my articles on their websites and pray for God’s blessings upon them. But, I know that there will come a time, and very soon, when my words will be blocked and censored. The prophets of old who were sent to deliver hard messages unto God’s people and to their kings and religious leaders were censored and imprisoned, and those who speak the truth today can expect the same circumstances as even now we see an unrighteous abridgement - by a fascistic government - of individual rights and liberties.
“When I say unto the wicked, Thou shall surely die; and thou gives him not warning, nor speaks to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at your hand.” (Ezekiel 3:18)
Clearly those in the ministry today who tickle the ears with new age doctrines - such as the goodness of man, a lack of evil, that man is divine and therefore can create his own spiritual destiny, Satan is an imaginary being and that there are many roads to salvation - have not read the above scripture. And if they have and have rejected it, or any other of God’s truths, they will stand and give an account for every lost soul that was in their charge.
A TUMULTUOUS END
The affects of hurricane IKE were tremendous. The cost of property damage has been estimated at one trillion dollars. Tens of thousands of homes have been destroyed and hundreds of thousands people have been made homeless. Millions are without power and industries of all kinds have been either disrupted or destroyed and shut down altogether. Local economies have been all but wiped out and the U.S. economy already a tottering shambles held together by chewing gum and duct tape is being pushed to the edge. The dwindling number of middle- income taxpayers cannot continually bail out one area after another from the costs of major catastrophic events that now occur at a rate of nearly one upon another, and it is with a certainty that the major corporations that are virtually completely exempt from taxation are not going to contribute to any recovery as greed is the name of their game. The soon coming burden that the government will place upon the dwindling few will be crushing. And yet this is but the initial phase of the coming tribulation upon this nation. The apocalyptic natural events will continue, but that is not the whole of the story.
The economy of this nation is, for all intents, shot; fooled away by seeming half-wits. The government and the elites have striven mightily with lies, manipulation of the markets, and bailouts of failed financial institutions to wire together a wrecked economic infrastructure that has been made a disaster by their own hand. The stricken federally chartered housing finance companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac - progeny’s of our totalitarian regime - have been absorbed by their maker and shaper and placed upon the backs of the people. A wrecked car in such a dismal shape as our economy would be declared a total loss and scrapped. I think that this is exactly the plan of those who pursue a one-world order. They endeavor powerfully and vigorously to scrap the dollar and negate our sovereignty in order that this nation might be coalesced with Canada and Mexico in a North American Union and then integrated into a new world order.
RIOTS, CIVIL STRIFE AND WAR
Who can know the evil that lurks in the minds of men? God knows and soon so shall we if we don’t already know.
A virtual Trojan horse of monumental proportions has been rolled across our borders. Such an event could not have been accomplished without the ignorance, apathy and complaisance of the people and the treasonous endeavors of the politicians who feed at trough of the corporate pirates who control the government and society with the monies that they have amassed by deceit, trickery and larceny beyond imagination. To be subject to these is the fate of a people who have no knowledge of Almighty God. This horse carried the seeds of an invasive and pernicious evil that will render this nation completely impotent and cause it to lie prostrate before its enemies.
Out of the horse poured predators, malcontents, criminals of all stripe, disease carriers, free loaders, mercenaries and subversives. Such have molested, raped and killed our children, disrupted and corrupted every facet of an amalgamate and orderly society, bankrupted our local governments and institutions, piled the people high with debt to sustain the invaders with perks beyond anything available to ordinary citizens, caused us to build an ever increasing number of prisons to incarcerate alien invaders who kill, violate and maim American citizens, and opened the country to the predations of clandestine enemy agents who have infiltrated via open borders and lax immigration policies and who are supported by enemy citadels that have been openly set up under the noses of the government and its security agencies in the guise of mosques and embassies..
The floods, the hurricanes, the tornadoes, the fires, the earthquakes and the manmade disasters presage the time of the end. Soon - very soon - our cities will be host to civil strife such has never been experienced in the history of this nation. A pestilence of violence will roll across the land, cities will burn and the carnage will be great. Our panicked fascist government will add to that carnage. The violence will exacerbate an already degraded situation and disease and famine will spread exponentially in the wake of the violence. There will be widespread panic brought about by the rolling and continuous collapse of services and social order. No person will be isolated from the effects of the collapse of order that will affect those both within and without the cities.
“The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him”
(Ezekiel 7:15)
When the nation has been sufficiently weakened by all of the foregoing an utter annihilation will fall upon the land and it will be made desolate by nuclear fire.
“In all your dwelling places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished. And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.” (Ezekiel 6:6-7)

m/v antalina crew safe; reportedly returned to port arthur, texas
when we first learned of the plight of the m/v antalina, a freighter ship stranded at sea without power and forced to ride out hurricane ike, our thoughts and prayers immediately went out to the crew.
it brought back to mind our u.s. navy days when we were returning to our homeport at naval station norfolk, virginia from naval station guantanamo bay cuba. at gitmo, our ship and crew had just undergone intensive eight week refresher training (reftra) which was pretty awful itself.
somewhere between cuba and norfolk we went through a tropical depression or tropical storm or hurricane dont remember which one, (probably tropical storm andrew) but even it it was just a 'mere' tropical depression or disturbance -- that was more than enough to make you never want to experience anything like it again.
despite the fury of the sea, we never were in fear for our lives in that our ship was going to fail us by capsizing or breaking apart and sinking. our ship an 11,500 ton, nuclear powered guided missile cruiser which had just undergone an 18 month long complex overhaul (coh) by the good men and women at the norfolk naval shipyard, portsmouth virginia, (hence the reason we were undergoing reftra) was at the top of her game. we were at the top of our game back then too.
one of the necessary precautions that the old man ordered was material condition zulu set throughout the ship. this meant that all of the watertight doors and hatches had to be shut and dogged down. this made it even more of a challenge to get around as you had to stop and open a watertight door then close it and dog it down behind you. try doing this about every thirty feet whilst enduring heavy pitches and rolls.
what was most interesting about the whole experience was going up and down ladder wells. when the ship heaved upward you would feel heavy like a weight was pushing down against you. then when the ship came crashing down you would feel very light and could almost fly up the ladder. this effect was most pronounced the more forward you were.
so while our experience riding out a storm at sea was harrowing, we could only imagine what the men of the m/v antalina were going through. especially, with it being reported that their ship had no power, propulsion and loss of steerage.
that storm wasnt the most frightening experience we had in the navy. the most frightening event was a flood and fire in the number one emergency diesel generator room. the no.1 edg was a rather large space slightly forward and below our berthing compartment. it contained a huge diesel engine perhaps, the size of a diesel locomotive engine.
late one night a hatch or valve or something broke down there and the flooding caused a class charlie fire. a shipmate, a turd chaser from new jersey, nearly drowned making repairs. he had to be medevaced off the ship. the next time the eagle shit his division officer was on the mess deck taking up a collection for his family who had came in to be with him. his d.o. told us that due to the extent of our shipmates injuries and oxygen deprivation he was reduced to a comatose, vegetative state.

wst... note: prior to posting we spoke by telephone to mr. ronald hixson with the port of port arthur texas. mr. hixson told us that the m/v antalina "is not physically at the port of port arthur" meaning that she isnt tied up at a dock there. the antalina could be anchored offshore though.excerpt:
(CNN) -- A tugboat on Saturday [13 september 2008] reached a disabled freighter carrying 22 people, hours after the ship road out Hurricane Ike without power, Coast Guard spokesman Mike O'Berry said.EXTERNAL LINK
O'Berry said the tugboat Rotterdam arrived shortly before 2 p.m. (3 p.m. ET).
Repairs will be made aboard the Antalina, which has a broken fuel pump, while at sea, O'Berry said.
The tugboat will then tow the ship to Port Arthur, Texas, where it will undergo additional repairs and eventually offload more of its cargo -- petroleum coke, a petroleum byproduct -- O'Berry said.
The crew members aboard the Antalina, a Cypriot-flagged freighter, are all in good health, said Coast Guard Cmdr. Ron Labrec.
The freighter suffered no major damage from the storm, said Darrell Wilson, a spokesman for the company that manages the ship.
Aircraft from the Coast Guard and Air Force were sent Friday afternoon to try to rescue the crew of the freighter. But high winds forced the military to abort the rescue, O'Berry said.
The Coast Guard then instructed the freighter to contact it each hour. It also told told the crew to turn on the ship's emergency radio beacon so its position could be monitored, O'Berry said.

The stranded freighter had been headed south through the Gulf of Mexico from Port Arthur, Texas, but "lost main propulsion 90 miles southeast of Galveston" and was unable to steer, the Coast Guard said.
The Coast Guard received a distress call from the vessel at 4 a.m. Friday. The Antalina was "basically adrift, at the mercy of the wind and sea currents," Coast Guard Petty Officer Tom Atkeson said at the time.
"We are in hell," one of the men aboard the freighter told CNN on Friday before the rescue was called off. The man said the winds around the ship were strong but that the freighter still had power. ~ read more

Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain has put out a statewide call for donations of hay and cattle feed to supply cattle in coastal areas left stranded by the storm surge of Hurricane Ike.EXTERNAL LINK
“There are thousands of cattle stranded by high water in Cameron, Vermilion, Plaquemines, Lafourche, Terrebonne and other parishes and they’re going to need hay and feed,” Strain said. “If you can donate hay or feed, call the Louisiana Cattlemen’s Association and give them your information.”
The LDAF will distribute the hay to the areas where it is needed most, according to Strain.

hurricane ike remnant continues rampage across the heart land
the clip begins with news correspondent janet shamlian in galveston, texas at a destroyed strip mall center on seawall boulevard. ms. shamlian also notes that galveston's historic balinese room was 'completely flattened.'
ms. shamlein says that the bulk of the damage is expected on the west end of galveston and that authorities still cant get in to properly assess it. there is no power or water in galveston.
in missouri we learn from gary christman, chief of the city of st. louis emergency management agency, that hurricane ike remnants brought 3 - 6 inches (8 - 15 cm) of rain and 40 - 65 mph (64 - 105 km/h) gusts of wind in the st. louis, missouri area. roads were flooded and water rescues were required as well as several evacuations. this morning about 91,000 customers were without power in the st. louis area.
in chicago there is record flooding.
in michigan: saginaw, lansing and detroit are some of the areas receiving heavy rain and potential flash floods.

hurricane ike damage at beaumont, texas
the aftermath of hurricane ike is extensive damage and heavy flooding at beaumont, texas. kristin dahlgren reports that it could take several weeks to get electrical power restored. many refineries are without power and may not have power for more than a week which means that gas supplies may be down.

UPDATE: kristin dahlgren reports that gas lines are around two hours long at the only gas station open in the beaumont, texas area. it could be more than a month before power is fully restored to beaumont.
the refineries at beaumont are not able to open now and some might not be able to open for at least a week.

jeff ranieri is at 306 beach drive, surfside beach, texas where he reports that 40 homes were destroyed; 50 damaged. mr. ranieri says that there has not been a block in surfside beach that has not been touched by hurricane ike.
in msnbc's first person segment brent scott from columbia, missouri sends a picture of a flooded foot-bridge over perche creek, mcbaine, missouri about five miles south of the mississippi river.

kalb meteorologist nick mikulas says that between 10 p.m. and midnight tonight central louisiana will see some heavier rain. then, saturday morning more heavy rain.mr. mikulas says that he has upped the wind a little bit. he is forecasting peak wind gusts of around 55 - 65 mph (89 - 105 km/h) with around 3 - 7" (8 - 18 cm) of rain.
mr. mikulas says not to be fooled by these numbers just because they arent as high as hurricane gustavs'. mr. mikulas reminds us that central louisiana still has a lot of gustav water around "so three to seven inches could do the same as fifteen inches (38.1 cm) did from gustav [in alexandria/central louisiana]."
mr. mikulas says that he is worried about the flooding threat as well as the tornado threat.

excerpt: (CNN) -- A freighter that had been adrift in the Gulf of Mexico made it through Hurricane Ike safely and was awaiting a tugboat to bring it to shore Saturday morning.
All 22 people aboard the Antalina, a Cypriot-flagged freighter, were safe, U.S. Coast Guard spokesman Mike O'Berry said Saturday.
The freighter rode out the storm until the heaviest of winds died down Friday night, O'Berry said. It remained 170 miles southeast of Galveston, Texas, waiting for a motor tugboat to bring it back to port, he said.
The tugboat Rotterdam likely will reach the stranded vessel by noon CT Saturday (1 p.m. ET), Coast Guard Cmdr. Ron Labrec said.

Petroleum Coke Ship, Antalina, Stranded in Ikeby Joe DeFranceschi September 12, 2008As Texans flee from Hurricane Ike, the 22 people aboard the Antalina have nowhere to run. Their freight ship carrying petroleum coke lost propulsion 90 miles southeast of Galveston and is getting battered by Ike's powerful winds.
The Antalina is a 584-foot boat that was caught in Ike's grasp while adrift in the Gulf of Mexico. They sent out a distress call to the Coast Guard who began to respond to their situation early this morning.
The Antalina is originally from Cyprus and has a cargo of petroleum coke which is a byproduct of traditional petroleum. The Coast Guard says they cannot fly helicopters in close enough to rescue the men because of Ike's strong wind gusts. Even if they could rescue the sailors, that would mean that the Antalina and it's cargo of petroleum coke would drift at sea, creating a possible safety and environmental hazard. ~ source

kalb meteorologist nick mikulas forecasts that hurricane ike's texas landfall will place central louisiana on the "right-front side" of the hurricane. this will result in cenla receiving a lot of rainfall and the threat of tornadoes. mr. mikulas says that hurricane ike is "huge - first off, it's covering more than half the gulf of mexico" and forecasts 50 mph (80.47 km/h) peak wind gusts together with heavy rain of around 3 - 7" (8cm - 18cm) in central louisiana with even higher wind gusts and rainfall to the west. this forecast originally was given at noon thursday 11 september 2008.
as of the date and time of this post, the official track of hurricane ike is centered upon freeport, texas and ike is believed to "likely make landfall along the texas coast between matagorda bay and galveston island," late friday night 12 september 2008 and/or into early saturday morning 13 september 2008.
