city of alexandria, la. mayor jacques roy: hurricane ike 'serious threat'

mayor roy says that the threat of upwards of five inches of rain on saturday 13 september 2008 is a 'serious threat' to city of alexandria, la. citizens and that people who live in low lying areas, flood prone areas: recent, past and historic, to make plans to stay with family or friends.

citizens in vernon parish prepare for hurricane ike

the vernon parish sheriff's office says that they are ready and starting at 4:00 pm cdt friday 12 september 2008 they are doubling up on all their patrols placing extra peace officers on the street.
