THE FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR THE RED RIVER NEAR ALEXANDRIA.

* FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...OR UNTIL THE WARNING IS CANCELLED.
* AT 2:00 AM FRIDAY THE STAGE WAS 29.6 FEET.
* MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 32.0 FEET.
* FORECAST...RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE BY MONDAY AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE TO RISE TO NEAR 33.0 FEET BY WEDNESDAY MORNING.
* IMPACT...AT 32.0 FEET...FLOODING OF LOWLAND AREAS NEAR THE RIVER OCCURS AND RECREATIONAL BOATING IS AFFECTED.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES HAS ISSUED A
* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR THE RED RIVER AT ALEXANDRIA.
* UNTIL LATE FRIDAY NIGHT.
* AT 12:00 PM WEDNESDAY THE STAGE WAS 29.7 FEET.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 32.0 FEET.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER HAS CRESTED AND WILL BEGIN A SLOW FALL.
* IMPACT...AT 28 FEET...OVERFLOW OCCURS ON THE FLOODWAY SIDE OF THE LEVEE.
RECREATIONAL BOATERS SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION OR CURTAIL ACTIVITIES DUE TO HIGH RIVER CURRENTS UNTIL THE RIVER FALLS TO SAFE LEVELS.
