BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Gov. Bobby Jindal has agreed to pay a $2,500 ethics fine stemming from his campaign for Louisiana governor last year.EXTERNAL LINK
The state Board of Ethics on Thursday approved a settlement in which Jindal admits to failing to timely disclose financial support his campaign received from the state Republican Party. The $2,500
fine is the maximum allowed under state law for the campaign finance violation.
By negotiating a settlement, Jindal avoids a public hearing that had been set for July.
