actor morgan freeman 'very seriously injured' in mississippi car crash


UPDATE: Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson Ben Williams said Freeman and a female passenger were traveling eastbound on Mississippi Highway 32 in Tallahatchie County when his vehicle went off the edge of the road. around 11:30 pm cdt sunday 03 august 2008, morgan freeman and a passenger were in a car accident near ruleville, (sunflower county) mississippi.
wenn news reported:
Freeman was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, where he is currently receiving treatment. The extent of his injuries are unknown, but state troopers tell website TMZ.com that the actor was talking at the scene of the accident before he was taken to hospital.

The condition of Freeman's passenger is also unknown.

Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident.
