Gov.-elect Bobby Jindal said Thursday that his executive counsel made “an error in judgment” in thinking he could maintain ties with his private law practice.

Pineville attorney Jimmy Faircloth is removing his name from the law firm he founded and is selling his equity to his partners, Jindal said.

“Jimmy can’t try to serve two masters,” he said.
